STATEMENT ON THE 2025 SHOWCASE
MATCH v MIDDLESEX CCC

The new CCCC committee met after last weeks AGM where the members and committee discussed the 2024 abandonment of the Showcase game v Surrey CCC at Fenners.  For 2025 we were given Middlesex CCC as our opposition.  The committee had already decided due to the losses hosting the last two years the County Club were unwilling to host the 2025 game. 

During our conversations with Middlesex CCC, it became very clear there were problems due to their ground restrictions, limited date availability due to First Class game congestion and our own limited date availability. The committee therefore decided unanimously to not to play the 2025 Showcase game and today we have informed the ECB, NCCA and Middlesex CCC of our decision.

They will be no further comments to be made on this subject and we now invest our time, efforts, and support in our playing sides and county hosting grounds in the 2025 NCCA and East of England competitions.
